I play a vega style n. It is in petty good shape for its unrestored age and I enjoy it very much. However, my wife, and some others feel it has a harsh and stringent sound. Actually my wife hates for me to play it. Can anything be done other than divorcing my wife and finding new friends? To my knowledge, it has its original tone ring and a plastic head. Any ideas?
