I find the best way to learn new styles on the banjo is to listen to the artists music using an ipod or another device. Listening to the song over and over again helps me memorize the fingering on the banjo. Anything I can get my hands on such as artist audio books, professional videos, and or other performances help my playing style dramatically.
Along side with this, technology makes it so much easier to access tutors and professional help. I can simpley watch an online video or listen to an audio books on my mp3 player to get the general secrets of all those amazing guitar and banjo players.
