Mastercraft The Bluegrass Series All Mahogany from banjohut.com - I know I don't have anything to compare it to, but I'm finding it to be a great beginner's banjo.
Favorite Bands/Musicians:
I love bluegrass, old country, and western swing, of course, but my musical taste's pretty much all over the map. Here are a few: Roky Erickson, Billy Childish, Can, Janis Martin, Black Sabbath, Pere Ubu, CCR, Patti Smith, Man or Astro-man?, Devo, The Kinks, Wire, Dead Moon, Fire on Fire.
