I started learning banjo over 20 years ago. There was a period back then when many of the TV commercials used banjo music in the background and I got hooked on the sound. I'm originally from New York and it was difficult to find folks interested in Bluegrass. I eventually stopped playing. I now live in California and have literally "picked" it up again a few months ago. Once again... I'm hooked. My profile image is the back of a shirt my mother embroidered for me many years ago. It says pickin and grinnin.
