Northern Departure, is a new Seattle, Washington based bluegrass band, comprised of four young men, who want to play music that they can play with their soul, and play the tunes and songs that really speak to them.
Derek Gray - Is a hot young talent on the Upright bass. Driving the tunes home with his definitive bass groove. Derek is a former member of popular bluegrass band, Three Generations. Austin McGregor - A up and coming prodigy on the 5 string banjo. His fretful fury works are bound to keep you on the edge of your seat. He tears it up on the instrumentals and fills in the vocals with some tasty licks. Also a key member in the Three Generations. Nick Dumas - Fiddle and Mandolin. This master of fiddle and picker of the mandolin has been playing most of his life. He's capable of playing soft and sweet, or rip roaring a hot lead in your face. His vocals add to to the overall sound of the group. He is the Third Generation of the Three Generations band. Chris Luquette - Guitar and Mandolin. This Hard working musician is a well known in the Seattle acoustic scene. Equally at home in a multitude of Genre's, Worldwide folk music, jazz, even Rock.
