After my last entry, my banjo playing got worse and worse. Both hands were going numb and I developed serious pain in my left arm. Then to top it all off, I lost muscle control in my right hand. I tried going to a chiropractor which eased the pain but the numbness became too much to handle. It got so bad that I could'nt even play guitar which I've been doing for thirty years. Turns out I had two discs in my neck that had collapsed. I had cervical fusion surgery last March and I'm doing great. My banjo hand is back and I'm progressing in leaps and bounds. Through all of the pain and numbness I never quit practicing so I learned a lot of new techniques. I also appreciate my talent more cause antthing can happen to you. I have a friend who's a drummer that had a stroke and it's all he can do to get back playing again. It's kinda like learning from the beginning again. Take care and God bless.
