I really like laid back folk music of the likes of john martyn and JJ Cale. i am coming late to bluegrass and old time music, but seem to be leaning more to the old time music. I havent had much exposure to the old masters so i like listening to modern bands who can play like them. One of my first experiences was hilary burhans and i just love that album "on the skillet" or something like that. I am happy to listemn to any and everyone with a banjo as i find it an all consuming passion right now.

Hi- the names Pete, from the Uk and just entered my fifties and was given a banjo a couple of years ago as sign of my descent into old age. Don't k now if it was a joke - but its backfired cos now the wife and my 3 kids have to put up with me practicing day in day out. I welcome any contact from anyone who can broaden my knowledge of the clawhammer banjo style and offer me tips. My banjo is simply the best ever - its a Brooks masten Silver spun
