I used to play cello in high school, and taught myself violin (easy transition), never played especially well because I just didn't feel like practicing. I'm older now, and still don't have the time because I have a full-time job and two toddlers, but it's more important to me to have something MY OWN that I can do. My brother had a banjo in the basement, and I thought, Hey, everyone doesn't play THAT ... not realizing that might mean I'd have a hell of a time learning! The more I pick up, though, the more I want to learn. I'd like to connect with some people who can show me some stuff to help me progress on my own, and some people to play with!
