I started playing banjo around 2003 on a whim, my guitar playing wasn't progressing as fast as I had hoped, and pretty much everyone I know played the guitar. I wanted to be and like to be different. Everytime I hear a hot roll on the banjo, I can't do anything except for stopping what I'm doing and smiling like a dummy from ear to ear. It is an instrument that bridges generation gaps like no other as well. If you have a pulse, you can generally enjoys the sound of a banjo.
