Hi there, folks.  I picked up the banjo with hopes of looking ridiculous in Iraq.  I received her while training in New Jersey.  After getting settled in Iraq, I had her sent to me and promptly began my self-teaching.  It wasn't long before I able to parade around camp while maintaining a steady, simple tune.

Unfortunately, I was only the second most ridiculous-looking soldier there, because one of my buddies brought his bagpipes.

Oh well.

Now I'm home, with a better 'jo, and eager to learn again.  Most of my friends look at me funny, but I wouldn't have it any other way. 3 comments
