The New Bedford Working Waterfront Festival celebrates commercial fishing with exhibits, food, and music (traditional, ethnic, non-traditional). I will be participating in the non-traditional category of music with the band I play with called Sharks Come Cruisin'. We play sea chanteys with a bit of a punk edge to them. Any one in the New Bedford, MA area looking for something to do on September 27th should check it out. We love when the audience sings along, too!

I've been playing guitar for 15 years (or so). Started out playing classic rock, then folk, and now been getting into classical. Have had a tenor and 5-string banjo for a few years but only recently started to really learn to play the 5-string since I've joined a sea-shanty band called Sharks Come Cruisin'. (www.sharkscomecruisin.com). Presently I don't have any banjo tunes on my myspace, only guitar compositions, but you can hear some stuff on the Sharks Come Cruisin' site.
