Started playing in 1981, a college friend played and showed me some things. I'm no player, never will be, but I love it! Recently restarted playing. I certainly forgot most of what I hoped to know back then, the fingers don't work like they did 25 years ago and it's like starting over again. At this point I don't care, I may be tone def and my fingers are slower, but I love it!
