I started by playing an old "Harmony" that some one was throwing out because the head was torn. When I replaced the strings the neck cracked. So one of these days when I get money, I'll get a new one

Have always been interested in Music of all kinds, but never got serious about playing any one instrument, until I got my first banjo- something about it just makes it stick to you. Actually, I have been trying to play 3 fingered bluegrass type stuff for a while, now. I have gotten pretty good at the rolls I learned and a few songs that I feel are coming along. But I was a little frustrated about not being able to really get the rythm that I hear when other people play. Then I found out about Clawhammer on the internet. I tried it. It definately has the rythm I was looking for. But after trying that out for a couple of weeks, now I can't play either style. Guess I better pick one and stay with it exclusively for a while.
