Hi, this is my first blog EVER! my grammar isnt the best so bare with me. My name is Kevin and I started playing the banjo around September 07. I've been taking lessons for about four weeks now. It's great! I have an excellent teacher that I'm sure I'll learn a lot from. In fact he jumped me from lesson six to lesson fourteen. So I was pretty happy about that.
The banjo I have is a Kay American Spirt. It sounds okay but it's a beginner banjo. I tried to tighten the head and make it sound more crisp. But all I did was break the head. But I found a really cool looking Remo head to replace the old dirty one. So that wasnt to bad.
