Born and raised in the DC suburbs, grew up going to see live Johnson Mountain Boys shows with my family. I loved bluegrass as a kid but drifted into my many phases rock, punk, metal, etc.. With the popluarity of Bluegrass coming back a few years back and seeing some old pictures of my great, great,great grandpa playing a banjo and fiddle a really long time ago. In January of 2004 I decided to get off my butt and learn how to play the banjo.
