I’ve been playing for a little over 4 years now and love it. I started out just wanting to learn to play a few songs for family and friends. But then you all know what happened next, I wanted to learn more and more. I just can’t seem to get as good as I want to get. I guess none of us do. I’ve been learning mostly on my own although I do have a good friend who is a very good banjoist and has been showing me some things. I am pretty much a closet picker and find it hard to play in front of others, even family. I do plan to start playing with others but haven’t started yet.
