I've played for over 25 years but only made serious progress in the past 15 years since retiring. I am pretty much self taught with a lesson or two along the way and working from various books, tabs and videos. It wasn't until I was able to hook up with a weekly jamming group and attend a week of camp that my playing blossomed. I have been playing with two local groups Chokecherry Jam and Willow Blue now for over 12 years. I am interested in picking up a few novice students in hopes of helping them avoid the pitfalls and hours of wasted practice I endured along the way. My first inspirational moment was hearing Ron Lynam (of Front Range) play at a festival. His playing was so clean and full of energy I was awed. "If I could only play half that good!" So I started.
