started the banjo in college at U of North Carolina with some buddies that became the Steep Canyon Rangers- stumbled into the professional thing and have continued doing so. I write most of the tunes for the band along with playing banjo and occaisional guitar. I have a wife and a young son , Wade, who make me very happy.
