I started playng guitar at age 8, while living in Yugoslavia. My dad was stationed at the embassy there serving attache duty. There was no television, therefore not much to do. After returning to the states in 1967, I got involved in rock and roll. Not until 1978 did I get back into the acoustic/bluegrass scene. This was the first year I picked up a banjo. Played bass with the Melbourne, FL based bluegrass group "Mill Creek" for about 9 years. I won the Florida Old Time Music flatpicking championship in 2007 at Dade City, FL.
