How time flys.

I can't believe it has been over two years since I last wrote.  I am still struggling with the banjo.  And I am convinced it is cause I can't play by ear.  I must take the time to find an instructor I believe.

Very difficult instrument.  I am thinking of learning to play the pillow or something simple.

Let's see, born in California. My father was a muscian and I grew up in the tradition of the Bakersfield Okie to use a sterotype. My father was born on a reservation in Arkansas. My father was a country writer even had one published. I have been raised with music all my life. Usually that country western stuff as a kid had no I idea the jews of muscians I was around. Took me getting some years to appreciate the talent my dad had and the love of this country music that so shaped much of america today. Before the big corporate music industry took over. I left Modesto and served in the U.S. Navy. Did my time on Submarines and lost much of my hearing on the boat. Thank You Mr. Electronic Tuner! One day decided to go back home to Modesto. Found out that Technology is where my hear truely is not and have since opened a backpacking/kayaking store and spend my weekends teaching kayaking, or back packing in the Sierra wilderness, and of course playing my banjo. So why the banjo. I said I am admist a career change. Which means I still have my day job. And I run our backpacking store with my lady and we have since opened a second store. So between the accounting and paper work of my two stores, my day job, back packing on the weekends, I play banjo. **** DISCLAIMER **** Since I was born and raised in Modesto, I taken certain liberties with my terrible spelling Please Intial that you have read and agree to this disclaimer ________ Image and video hosting by TinyPic
