Been wanting to learn banjo frailing for a long time. Only now (2008) I have gotten a teacher to answere questions and put up with my dense head. I've been told that one branch of my family could play anything that had strings on it. Unfortunately almost all died before I found out. The rest are of questionable repute and are hiding out from the revenuers in E. KY. Moonshine: $25/gal. On one of his records, Stringbean starts out talking about a creek where there were a lot of moonshiners, Ross's Creek on the Estill County-Lee County line. 2 side of my family lived on that creek Then he tells a story. The revenuers said to little brother, tell us where your pa's still is and we'll give you a dollar when we get back. Boy said, give me the dollar now, 'cause you ain't coming back.
