anyone with banjo building techniques please reply to this blog im starting on my first banjo construction.  im using wormy chestnut for my neck and bowl or bell and im going to use oak for my finger board. im looking for helpful hints and constructive criticism on my journey thru this build. i will post pictures throughout my entire process. but any information or criticism will be taken in stride as helpful information.  thank you for reading this blog.

im just learning to play the banjo and im fixing to build one from scratch. and any helpful advice will be gladly taken. im starting with the neck and im going to use wormy chestnut. for my finger board im going to use oak, my resinator im going to use a combination of pine and diamond plate steel. the hooks, the head, the string nuts, and the fret bars should be the only peices ill have to buy seperate. if any helpful information or an idea on what not to do or use will be taken well. im no craftsman and im not the richest to just straight out buy a brand new banjo but i have the inspiration and the love for the banjo to build one from scratch. i just need some real pointers for building this thing right and i bought the book called constructing a 5-string banjo but the books doesnt tell you everything.
