Where to go from here?

I have done some open mic sessions with a guitarist friend in Farnham, Surrey over the last 8 months or so. I write and perform my own songs. But now my guitarist seems to not have the time for these open mics as he has a new job. So shall I perform solo, accompanied by my very basic banjo skills or should I try to put a local bluegrass band toghether to perform my own songs and bluegrass classics? I feel I am at a crossroads and need my Tom Tom to tell me which way to go!!!! If there are any local banjo experts out there who fancy forming a group let me know.......if there is interest out there then fate can lead the way. At the moment I just want to do the open mic once a month and maybe one day record a CD for prosperity. But if things goe well, perhaps we could gig - do some line dancing / barn dance type things! I'll try to get an MP3 of my singing up on this site but I need to work out how to convert WAV files to MP3 first...........check out my website www.meggylou.com......... 1 comment
