The Big Move

Wednesday, August 19, 2009

You may notice, I have a new address.  After Dad passed away,  My Two sisters and myself sold the old family home and I Bought a 3.5A propeerty w/  3/2 house.  Our home in the bay area was worth a fortune (we got nearly a mil.) when I looked for a property in the  'Foothill Gold Country' I was suprised at the prices.  Anyway,  There are tons of muscians up here and several jams every week...... I think I might have landed in hog heaven.  I also play the tuba and trombone.   In pretty short order, I got a second trombone seat with the Nevada County Condert Band (www.nccb.org) and have played several concerts, The 4th of July parade AND the County Fair!!  WOW!!  More Later. Uncle Walt.

Played Tuba in college, have an Associates degree in music. Mostly play (currently) classical and flamenco guitar. I have recently taken an intrest in surf guitar, so I play that also. I Have about six guitars, a mandolin and a violin, but NO BANJO!....Up Date!! Now I have a Banjo so I can sit on the front porch, play 'The Ballad of Jed Clampett' and scare the neighboors. In case you haven't gurssed from a recent exchange, I also have a BA in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. This is why I drive a Limo for a living...I like it! I also did a few semesters in graduate school (secondary education) and taught highschool for a while(as the sub from hell!)... Somebody was way too wierd! I still don't know if it was me or the students, but as my parting shot I gave some science geeks my favorite reciepe for home-made BEER! I'm quite shure this went over very big with the students and left the administration scratching their collective head....oh well!
