Can you help me identify this tenor banjo, purchased for $40 in a pawn shop in Durham, NC, in 1954. It is an "open-back," the frame is 11 inches in diameter. It has a single rod from the neck to the back of the frame. Positioned around, and held with bolts through, the frame are loops that hold the hooks that hold the metal rim that contains the head. The only markings are "The Gibson" at the top of the neck (above the top tuning screws) and an oval plate, inside the frame, that says "THE Gibson GIBSON INC. KALAMAZOO." No serial number or model number. It has 18 frets. The top of the headstock is slightly pointed, and the sides of the headstock are rounded, with a waist. Thanks.
