Left Illinois at 18, did 20 years in Naval aviation seeing the world, settled in Florida working for the Navy still in aviation but sure like to sit and pick with anyone who will allow me. Raised three boys, have 4 grandchildren and the most understanding wife one could have, one who gets the biggest kick out of the little things, the past two years we have joined the North Florida Bluegrass Association, bought a camper, a nice banjo and a golf cart and we go to as many blugrass festivals as our time allows and she likes to sit back and watch us Jam, recently she saw a t-shirt from www.bluegrassworks.com that she laughs at and says " thats is you guys, exactly" it's a picture of a banjo and under it, is printed pick, pick, pick, pick, pick, eat, sleep, pick, pick, pick, pick, pick etc...probably 25 picks then eat, sleep then 25 more picks, because that is what we do, we set up the campers do our honeydo's and break out the instruments, tune up, light the fire in the pit and start pickin' when we get an itch we go to another campsight and pick over their but we don't really do all that eatin' and sleepin' thair ain't enough time for that! LOL she even got her a mandolin last christmas and say's she'll learn it someday.
