I'm a university professor and researcher, climber, lifter, and novice banjo player. My dad has played guitar all my life and since retirement has taken to playing in several bluegrass jams each week. His journey into bluegrass inspired me to pick up my first banjo and get playing. I've found myself attracted more to old time and folk tunes and have been teaching myself clawhammer.
