Not until about 6 years ago did I even like bluegrass. I was in church service listening to a local group called Corner Stone Gospel Bluegrass and there banjo man caught my attention. I always liked to here the banjo ring but never really liked bluegrass. I got to know there banjo picker (good enough to start calling him dad after a few years of friendship) and asked him to teach me how to play. I never had a problem learning how to play anything with strings when I had tablature in front of me, but I did not know how to play with feeling. Dad showed me how to play with feeling and passion. He also showed me one of the most difficult things on the banjo. Good old Scruggs style back up (not really difficult, people just make it difficult or not willing to learn it). I've only been playing for a little over 6 years and I still have a lot more to go................I still want to play just like dad.
