Born in New England, but have always heard the call of the 1850s Appalachian mountains. Loved Bluegrass and "old" time music all my life. Played Harmonica in grad school, and always played back porch old time. My son and daughter have been taking guitar lessons and thought why not Banjo? So I picked up a old Kay open-backed Frankenstein and started on the CH journey.
