Hello to all;
I started trying to learn the banjo around 1973. It was a hard process and after six months and learning Cripple Creek, I laid it down. Since then it has been an off and on thing until last year.
i picked up the banjo and decided it was either now or never, as I was getting older and soon would not be able to learn. Since then, I have worked at it and now know a few tunes and want to do backup. Although I am trying hard, it is a slow process. I have now taken 2 lessons from John Lawless and it is starting to work.
If there is anyone near that wants to come by and pick, I welcome you. I am retired and can pick nearly any time . Learning to pick is my dream. I would like to be able to play with a band just once before it is too late.
