I play clawhammer style, self-taught. Began when I found a nice 1915 Fairbanks-Vega Senator in a pawnshop in Detroit in 1971. Played in the Raggedy Robin String Band from 1982-90, including a scene in the movie "Bluegrass." Represented Danville, KY, in a Sister Cities musician exchange with Northern Ireland. My other instruments are guitar, hammered dulcimer, and a bit of ukulele, mountain dulcimer, autoharp, and harmonica.
