Born in NJ in 1953. Started to play the 5-string from Pete Seeger's book at age 12. Put it away when I went to college at 17. Taught Irish (Gaelic) at Harvard and Aberystwyth University (1981-2017). Returned to the 5-string at age 65. (My second childhood.) Would like to develop modal accompaniments for Irish and Scottish Gaelic songs.
