Tuesday, January 20, 2009

Im looking for a new openback banjo, so I can learn clawhammer. I heard that the Deering Goodtime is a good choice. I need something fairly cheap under $600 Any ideas?? 3 comments

Grew up in the south but ended up in Alaska. Served a whole year in the Air Force while serving overseas in Turkey and was Honorably Discharged in 1999. Well I live here in Wasilla, Alaska currently right across from Sarah Palin on Lake Lucille. This used to be a quite town.... Enjoy learning Clawhammer and Old Time Banjo. I guess it runs in the blood, half my family is from North Carolina, Gainsville Florida and the other half is from Arkansas. I enjoy the History of the banjo and the people.
