I started playing the banjo in 1972. I have played in several regional bands in the late 70's and early 80's. Some very good ones and some not so good ones. Taught banjo for several years and made my living as a banjo player and teacher. In 1985 I had a terrible accident and completely severed the tendons in my right hand fingers. I completely stopped playing as a result of that accident. In September of 2005(20 years later) I decided to try and play again. It has been a struggle, but after a year I am beginning to come back. I really love the banjo and am excited about playing again.
