Hi I am the executor of my brothers estate. I am trying to identify his banjo. He has played banjo since we were kids. He had a: Cerpheum vintage 5 string deluxe that I found while clearing his house. I know that he has had this banjo since the 70's. It looks a great deal like an Orpheum of about that vintage but it definitely isn't spelled that way. The neck inlays look the same. The inlays on the back have a similar style. The case it's in looks similar without the name branding. I am wondering if it could be a Japanese knock off from that era. I'm not having any luck finding any information on it. Anyone recognize the name?
Any help identifying it would be appreciated.
