I am a retired electrical engineer. I played guitar as a pre-teen in 1966. Guitar sat for 30 years after 1980. Started playing again in 2012, then got into bluegrass and started playing banjo. I still like rock and built my own electric guitar amp. Just got a mandolin and I am teaching myself to play it.
