Howdy. Wondering if anyone recognizes this Banjo Tailpiece. It is from a Mastertone Bowtie circa mid 60's. I was told it is original. I am trying to change the strings on this puppy and have not found a way to get to the string ends. The plate on the top seems to be hinged but I can't get it to bend at the hinge without forcing it (which I am a bit cautious to do). The two thumbscrews do remove but all they seem to do is change the tension on the strings.
If anyone can advise me, would be much appreciated.
