Hello Everyone,I have been lurking on this and other sites learning the Banjo for about a month now and am Loving Every Minute Of It!!!
I have been playing Guitar and Mandolin for a few years and wanted to learn the Banjo since my earliest memories as a child, like me most of you got your first taste from Earl And Lester on The Beverly Hillbilly's and the Dillards on The Andy Griffith Show but the opportunity to get a Banjo never happened for me.
so around 50 years later I stopped by a Pawn Shop one day and he had one on the wall,my picture for my profile shows it as I found it.
the owner said it was a Strom but I've been looking online and it looks nothing like any of the Strom pictures?
I have looked at Peghead patterns and so many Banjos online until I cant see straight anymore but I cant find anything like it,I've got pictures of it in my profile and in a folder in pictures named russell56443.
I did do all the things I read on finding the #'s Ect... with no luck, nothing under the Resonator or anywhere, did i find a home built one maybe?
If you Guys and Gals out there would look at the pictures and hopefully you've seen it before somewhere and let me know that would be Great,I Love The Banjo,I dont care if its worth $ or anything like that but I sure would like to know its lineage lol?
Thank You for any help you can give,
