Henry c Dobson New York 7 String Banjo Help

Hi All,,

Clearing out my attic I came across a old banjo,, the skin is missing and it's lost it's pegs,, apart from that it's ok,, it's marked in various places Henry c Dobson New York, Patent 1881,, also on the back of where the pegs are there is a name of a Cacutta company, maybe a retailer I'm not sure? will try and add some pics later,, does anyone know anything about this banjo? is it worth getting it repaired?
