I guess I fell in love with the banjo a few years ago. Picked up a banjo in 2013, but never made time for it. I moved and had to leave that banjo behind; after the local Hardly Strictly bluegrass festival, I decided to learn again and picked up another. So three years later, I finally got around to (trying to) seriously learn to play. Started with Scruggs style, but didn't get anywhere. I found a clawhammer class near me and that's when the banjo started to make sense. I love both styles, and I intend to add Scruggs to my repetoire at some point, but I'm pretty into clawhammer too. Current banjos: + Ibanez B50 (I think of this as my first, but it wasn't, technically. It was the first one I had when I learned to play anything at all) + 2x Fireside no-mess kit assembled banjos (one with steel strings, one with nylgut) + Recording King RK-25 Madison Old-Time open-back + Recording King RK-20
