I started taking lessons in 2015 (at the age of 60), and boy do I wish I had started sooner. I played the guitar for many years, so I think that helped me learn more quickly than if I had no musical background. I play mostly 3-finger style, with a little bit of melodic style mixed in. I love clawhammer, but for the life of me I can't get the hang of it! I recently purchased a Bishline Cimarron in maple with black satin finish. It looks really cool, sounds beautiful and makes playing even more enjoyable than before!
