Non Pro , play at home for personal enjoyment. Started playing electric guitar by ear aged 13. At that point I was obsessed with The Who ! Then over the last 30 odd years been into 60's Soul, Punk ,Kiss ,Grunge. About 15 years back I started getting properly into Delta / country Blues / Hokum , the real 20's / 30's stuff :-) Later, this summer, I purchased a great little book called "R.Crumb's Heroes of Blues,Jazz & Country" which comes with a cd. Was instantly taken with Dock Bogg's "Sugar Baby", Hayes Shepherd's "The peddler and his wife" & "Minglewood Blues" by Gus Cannon's Jug Stompers. I already own a Flatt & Scruggs cd which I quite like but to be honest, old "Dock" totally floored me ! I just had to get me a Banjo & it arrived just about 12 hours ago,12/10/15, a basic & beautiful open back Deering Goodtime :-)
