This is my wee collection, to be added to as time goes by specifically for finger exercises - to build strength, dexterity and speed. I know doing lots of exercises helped to get my guitar playing going, so I've been looking out for some for the banjo.
Left Hand - 2 exercises - Spider Walk and Finger Spacing, thanks to Bob Kessinger - http://www.bluegrassbanjo.org/lefthand.html. The Spider walks is really tricky (for me anyhow - superb therefore to build co-ordination and dexterity - doesn't actually even need a banjo to start with...desk exercise would work!). And the FInger Spacing ex is very tricky too. Just short burts of these execises methinks...
Ex that repeats a forward-reverse roll across a series of chords up and down the neck William.Bill Nesbitt - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ek-KZlgts4A
Using 4 left fingers, playing up the neck on on e string with right hand on one string using T,I,T,M - http://www.deeringbanjos.com/blogs/banjo-playing-tips/9210367-how-to-build-speed-dexterity
