Retired librarian /teacher with 41 years in the public schools. Started played guitar during the "folk scare" when I was in High School. Started playing fngerpicking guitar, but soon switched to flatpick style. I worked as a solo act during the 60's, also acting as an accompanist for many groups and singer. I played with various bluegrass bands during the 70's, playing mandolin and guitar. I took up banjo, playing a bit of Scruggs style, then switched to clawhammer. During the 80's I played a variety of instruments with old-time string bands. I also found myself in demand as a teacher and clinician on the lap dulcimer. I've worked as a musician and composer for a professional theatre group and have played in a duo for around 30 years. I enjoy playing and working out tunes on all of my instruments.
