Hi folks, I am new to banjohangout.org. I recently purchase a very old 4 string banjo, as I am an accomplished guitarist of many years, I love Celtic music, and am determined to learn the 4 string banjo and violin. Having said all that, this banjo has an interesting painting on the back. I have attempted to google information on it, but am coming up short. I am a Canadian, so the American History is a short-coming for me, sadly. There are 5 stars above 2 flags, the flag on the right is the stars and bars(with 5 stars) and the other looks like an old confederate flag, perhaps, with blue and white bars and a rose (flower) on it. There is an eagle on the snare drum separating the two flags. I don't know how to add a picture to this blog (sorry). I would appreciate any help. Oh, on the headstock there is a single star - no other markings. Thanks in advance for your time and attention.
