Hi There

Wednesday, February 11, 2015

Well, I'm new to Banjo Hangout, but I've been reading the weekly newsletter for a while, and the reviews, which have been very helpful. I just saw a cat scan of what a human brain looks like while trying to play a banjo for the first time. It reminds me of fireworks. This explains a lot! But, I find it fun, all the same. My dad and I love bluegrass music, which is interesting, since we are both native Californians. Hey, its not my fault that most Californians have no musical taste whatsoever. We try, my dad and I

I made the hilarious mistake of posting a picture of a backyard music banjo kit I built, since it is a very cool little practice banjo. It was then that I was introduced to banjo jokes. I had no idea how many banjo jokes there are. I thought there were a lot of them for Irish flutes? Not even close to banjo jokes. Well, this makes me love banjos even more now than I already did. I was barraged with banjo jokes by my friends and family on facebook for two solid weeks. I fired them right back. One of my friends plays ukes and HATES banjos, so I got Dueling banjo jokes. All I had to do about this was give him "Tiptoe through the Tulips with meeeeeee". It's been great fun, even though the worst banjo joke around here right now is my banjo playing!
