I started playing in my early 20's. The first band that I played in was in "Appalachian Stringband" The core of the band was Dennis Robinson and Luanne McGill (Ashe) and myself. I would have to say they were my biggest inspiration. Dennis is a fine fiddler/vocalist and Luey is a fine guitar/vocalist. I hung out in Virgina for a short while where I was taught how to play correctly. In other words they straightened me out on a few things. I played in a stringed orchestra in London, England for awhile. For the last 20+ years I have been playing with Bruce Clark. He's a fine rhythm guitar player. I now play mostly at jams and do a fair amount of studio work.
