Just had an Old Regal Banjo given to me. I think it is a 1930's Model. It has the Liberty Bell Head Lugs, only 1 missing. It has a Pearloid fret board, the Resonator is Pearloid as is the Banjo Ring. It is missing 3 fret wire which I can add. Neck is straight as an arrow. Of course leather head is busted. Problem is resonator has warped and separated from Resonator ring. How can I straighten Resonator back to reglue to Resonator Ring? I am currently trying steam but I'm afraid that the Resonator back will release the Pearloid veneer from the back. The wood pieces seem to be made of plywood. I currently have it clamped down on flat work bench but I know I will have to try and warp it back past the original flat in order to re create a flat memory in the wood. I have done this many times with guitars but the Pearloid worries me. I have not seen a total Pearloid Regal Banjo with the Liberty Bell Lugs like this.
