Hello all,
well I am really new to all this. And need as help as anyone can give. When I was young and sitting around listening to music with my grandma every time a song came on with a banjo playing in it, it just gave me this deep down happy feeling and I told myself i love that sound and one day i will play a banjo. Ok so about 30 yrs. later almost 3 grown kids my husband and I go into the music store to look for guitar stuff. He has been playing since he was 15. He is really good. We walked by the banjos hanging up, I strummed my fingers across the strings and heard the noise. And instantly I was brought back to when I was young and hearing it for the first time. So we bought it. Now on to the next part I am left handed in everyway so i named her flossy (banjo) is a left handed banjo. I have never never did I say never played before. I am so eager to learn i love the feel of it the sound everything about flossy. I am learning the rolls now and trying to learn about the cords that's the hard part. I know nothing about music so if anyone can tell me an easy way to learn or lead me in the right direction i thank you in advance. Ok I am all ears and ready for any suggestions.
