Born in Atlanta I grew up in Marietta Ga.I took banjo lessons from Tommy Jackson at about 11.I worked for Bill Blaylock at his music shop teaching banjo on saturday at the age of 14 or 15.After high school joined the army 82nd Airborne. My family moved to Florida and I ended up there until 2005.While in Florida I learned to shoe horses which I still do for a living.I also played guitar and sang in my brothers country-southern rock band,with a little banjo added. In 2005 my wife and I moved to Tennessee northeast of Nashville.We were blessed to find a nice farm.I am working on improving my picking and getting more involved in music and teaching banjo again.We have now moved back to Florida to be closer to my parents and help with the family as of June 2009.
